Cedarville Graduate Ranked Among Top Defense Attorneys in the Nation

Matthew T. Martens, a 1993 Cedarville accounting graduate and current defense lawyer with WilmerHale, was recently recognized as one of the top defense attorneys in the nation by Securities Docket. Securities like stocks and bonds are crucial for companies to raise the money they need to operate, but this financial practice is closely regulated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Defense lawyers, such as Martens, play a key role in representing individuals and institutions involved in issuing securities, as well as accounting and brokerage firms that work with these organizations.
