84 Lumber Recognition by Forbes for Hardware Retailing

Forbes just announced their 2024 America’s Top Private Companies list, with 84 Lumber securing the 100th spot out of 275 companies. It’s great news for 84 Lumber to be recognized alongside some of the top U.S. brands.

For over three decades, Forbes has been identifying and ranking America’s largest private companies, making the 2024 list the most extensive one since 2008. The rankings take into account various data sources like voluntary disclosures by companies, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings for private companies, and estimates from Forbes researchers and other reliable sources. To make it on this list, companies must have had revenues of $2 billion or more in the previous fiscal year.

84 Lumber, who garnered over $6.3 billion in revenue in 2023, expressed gratitude for this distinction. Maggie Hardy, owner, and CEO of 84 Lumber, said, “We are honored to be recognized once again by Forbes. This achievement truly reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our 84 Lumber family. We continue to build strong foundations, not just for our company, but also for our customers and the communities we serve. It’s a team effort, and we are thankful for everyone who has contributed to this journey. This honor belongs to all of us.”
