Congress March to Raj Bhawan Set for December 18
The JKPCC chief Tariq Hameed Karra says there’s big news: a peaceful protest march is planned for December 18 to Raj Bhawan. This march is a part of a nationwide effort to address the Adani episode, the concerning events in Manipur, and to highlight the need to restore statehood.
Karra didn’t hold back, stating that the recent allegations against Gautam Adani and his associates by the US Department of Justice are serious. The charges of corruption, fraud, and deceit paint a troubling picture. The implications for trust in Indian business and finance are major.
Adding to the mix, Karra criticized the government for dodging Parliamentary discussions on these matters. The lack of accountability is a real problem, he said.
And things get even more intense when Karra discusses the crisis in Manipur. Violence, curfews, and lawlessness have created chaos, and the government’s response, or lack thereof, has been a letdown. The Prime Minister’s absence and the lack of leadership in Manipur add to the frustration.
To address these crucial issues and push for the restoration of statehood, the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee is organizing a “Raj Bhavan March” on December 18, 2024. The march will kick off from the party’s headquarters at Shaheedi Chowk at 11 am, heading towards Raj Bhawan.
An impressive lineup of senior leaders, party functionaries, and frontal organizations will participate in the march, showing solidarity and determination. It’s a call to action and a push for change that aims to transform challenges into opportunities for growth and progress.
