Rare Earth Prices Fluctuate: Market Outlook – Daily Review

0

It’s been an interesting day in the rare earth market, with prices showing a bit of fluctuation. The price of Pr-Nd products experienced a slight dip, with the price of Pr-Nd oxide now ranging from 409,000 to 411,000 yuan/mt. On the other hand, the price of dysprosium oxide saw an increase, now sitting between 1.63 million to 1.65 million yuan/mt.

Looking ahead, there’s a sense of caution in the air as rare earth prices may continue to display a weak trend in the short term. This week, the market as a whole seems to be leaning towards a weaker outlook.

Reflecting on the past month, we saw prices of Pr-Nd oxide and Pr-Nd alloy drop by 2.6%, while dysprosium oxide took a bit of a bigger hit with a 5% decrease. It’s been a bit of a mixed bag in terms of production, with dysprosium oxide and terbium oxide seeing an increase month over month, while gadolinium oxide production continues its downward trend.

As we approach the end of the year, the demand for rare earth remains weak, creating an uncertain environment for prices.
