Graphic Arts Advisors (GAA), a top M&A advisory and consulting firm serving the printing, mailing, packaging, and graphic communications sectors, made an exciting announcement regarding The Artcraft Co., Inc. (“Artcraft”) based in North Attleboro, MA. The company successfully sold its book-of-business assets to two distinct strategic buyers through coordinated M&A transactions.

The deals were orchestrated by GAA within a managed 60-day process, where Sunset Printing of Wharton, NJ, took over Artcraft’s print, letterpress, and engraving customer business, while CFS of Norton, MA, acquired Artcraft’s promotional products business. Additionally, Thomas Industries facilitated the sale of Artcraft’s manufacturing equipment to finalize the transition.

Michael Wurst, GAA Managing Director, underlined the uniqueness of this project with Artcraft having two separate lines of business. Wurst emphasized the importance of finding flexible buyers willing to collaborate to navigate overlapping clients and establish agreements for future cooperation.

Sunset Printing President, Rob Wainer, expressed gratitude towards Mark Hahn of GAA for recognizing the suitability of this opportunity for their company. Wainer praised the collaborative effort between GAA’s Michael Wurst, John Hyde, and their internal and hired advisory team for successfully overcoming challenges and facilitating the smooth closing of the transaction.

It’s evident that the coordinated efforts of GAA and the involved parties led to a positive outcome for all stakeholders involved in the Artcraft book-of-business transactions.
