This amount included $216,837 for personal security and a hefty $563,513 for upgrading his home security system. In 2023, Fink received total compensation of $26.9 million.

Amazon also did not skimp on safety costs, reportedly shelling out $986,164 for transportation expenses for CEO Andy Jassy, which included business travel and security upgrades.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, received personal security services totaling over $2.9 million, which were paid to a security company owned by Musk himself. This amount also covered his role as Tesla’s CEO.

Apple spent close to $821,000 on security services for Tim Cook in 2023, in addition to over $1.6 million spent on private air travel for him, bringing his total compensation package to over $2.5 million.

Meta, previously known as Facebook, allocated nearly $9.4 million for Mark Zuckerberg’s security costs in 2023, covering home security and personal trips. Additionally, Zuckerberg received an annual supplement of $14 million for extra security, pushing his total compensation package over $24 million.

These substantial security investments highlight the growing concerns around the safety of top executives in a world where security threats are becoming increasingly prevalent.
