Disney World Announces 4 New Rides and Resorts Opening in 2025

Disney World is thrilled to announce the opening of four major attractions and experiences in 2025. Exciting news for all theme park enthusiasts! Following the Walt Disney Company’s latest earnings report, Disney has officially confirmed a lineup of upcoming theme park openings for the upcoming year, including the highly anticipated update of a popular thrill ride and a fresh take on a classic Pirates of the Caribbean experience.

Let’s kick off the list with Disney Starlight Parade. For years, Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World hasn’t had a nighttime parade. But that changes in the Summer of 2025 with the arrival of Disney Starlight on Main Street, U.S.A. The parade promises to feature a delightful mix of characters and movies, both old classics like Pinocchio and Peter Pan, and recent favorites like Encanto and Frozen. The excitement was first unveiled at the 2024 D23 event, and additional details were shared at D23 Brazil, where a Moana-themed float for the parade was revealed.

Next on the list is the reimagined Test Track at Epcot. The popular high-speed thrill ride was closed last June to make way for an all-new version that pays homage to the park’s history of transportation-themed attractions. While Disney has kept most details under wraps, guests have already noticed the new logo for the ride and the demolition of the old exterior canopy. The new Test Track is expected to open its doors sometime in 2025.

In addition to the lineup, a Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge is set to debut at the Magic Kingdom in 2025, right next to the iconic attraction. Disney has already released concept art for the family-friendly tavern, aiming to extend the narrative of the original Pirates of the Caribbean ride while celebrating its various iterations from around the world.

But that’s not all! Disney World is also gearing up to open a Spaceship Earth Lounge at Epcot, inspired by the park’s iconic centerpiece attraction. While only one piece of concept art has been revealed so far, the sleek and modern design is expected to offer guests fantastic views of the park’s nighttime fireworks display. The Spaceship Lounge is scheduled to launch in 2025.

While those are the four attractions officially confirmed by the Walt Disney Company, there are other exciting experiences slated to open in 2025. “Zootopia: Better Zoogether,” a Zootopia-themed show, is set to replace the long-standing “It’s Tough to be a Bug” 3D show at Animal Kingdom in the Winter of 2025. And following the announcement at D23, a Disney Villains show is expected to arrive at Hollywood Studios in the Summer of 2025, offering a taste of what’s to come with the upcoming Villains Land at Magic Kingdom.

Get ready for a magical year ahead at Disney World, where new adventures and experiences await at every turn!
