Crop Advantage Series in Mason City: January 10, 2025

The upcoming Crop Advantage Series meeting in Mason City on January 10, 2025, is shaping up to be an educational powerhouse for farmers and crop production professionals. Hosted by Iowa State University, this event will deliver the latest research-based information on crop production to help attendees make informed decisions for their farming operations.

At this meeting, attendees will have the unique opportunity to hear from Iowa State University Extension specialists, field specialists, and invited speakers, who will cover a range of topics critical to Iowa growers. From updated management options to recommendations on crop production issues, this event promises to provide valuable insights. Certified Crop Advisers (CCA) can also earn continuing education credits by attending. Additionally, private pesticide applicator continuing education will be available for a separate fee.

Angie Rieck-Hinz, field agronomist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, highlighted the significance of this meeting, stating, “There is no other program in our crop production education year where we are able to bring this many extension specialists together to sites across the state. We’re excited to provide quality, in-person education farmers and ag retailers have come to expect.”

The Mason City Crop Advantage meeting will take place at the Muse-Norris Conference Center at NIACC on January 10, 2025. Registration opens at 8:15 AM, and the program will run from 9:00 AM to 4:10 PM. The agenda includes a 2025 ag market outlook with Chad Hart, an in-depth discussion on nitrification inhibitors with Richard Roth, an update on soybean aphid resistance with Erin Hodgson, and a panel discussion on managing crop input costs for 2025.
