Steven J. McCool, partner at McGuireWoods, has once again been honored with a spot on Washingtonian magazine’s Top Lawyers list in Washington, D.C. His exceptional work in white-collar criminal defense has earned him a place on this prestigious list every year since 2012.
The list, featured in the December 2024 edition, is put together based on input from previous Top Lawyers awardees and extensive research conducted by the magazine. McCool brings a wealth of experience to his practice, having previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, showcasing his dedication to the legal profession.
With over 30 years of experience, McCool has acted as lead counsel in more than 75 criminal and civil trials. In 2013, he was welcomed as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a distinction reserved for the top 1% of trial lawyers in the United States and Canada.
