Lilium GmbH, a leading electric aircraft manufacturer, has provided an update on its financial restructuring led by KPMG and the progress of its innovative Lilium Jet program. The company continues to move forward with the M&A process following its insolvency filing and initial proceedings. The process is being overseen by KPMG Deal Advisory to ensure transparency and fairness.

In exciting news, The Ambitious Group (A.A.M.G), an eVTOL operator based in Marbella and Amsterdam, has placed an order for eight Lilium Jets with an option for six more aircraft. This follows a previous Letter of Intent signed in March 2024 and demonstrates The Ambitious Group’s commitment to providing electric air charter services in various regions, including Southern Spain, Morocco, the Benelux area, and later the ABC Islands in the Caribbean Sea.

Lilium now boasts a total of 108 firm orders and reservations, along with 82 options and nearly 600 aircraft under MOU. ASL Group recently canceled its reservation of six Lilium Jets due to the ongoing financial restructuring but aims to revisit the order once Lilium successfully emerges from insolvency.

On the technology front, Lilium has achieved a significant milestone with the successful completion of a landing gear drop test. This test is crucial for flight safety and certification, aligning with EASA standards. Additionally, progress has been made in the testing of the Lilium Jet’s innovative ducted fan technology, with multiple engines undergoing rigorous testing to ensure optimal performance.

EASA recently conducted a successful audit of Lilium, confirming the company’s compliance with aviation regulations. Furthermore, Lilium has commenced the rollout of flight operations software in collaboration with UK aviation software specialist myai, showcasing the company’s commitment to cutting-edge technology and safe operations.

These developments underscore Lilium’s dedication to revolutionizing the aviation industry with sustainable and forward-thinking solutions. As the company continues to make strides in its financial and technological endeavors, the future looks promising for the all-electric Lilium Jet program.
