Netlist, Inc. has some big news! The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas recently entered a Final Judgment in the case of Netlist v. Samsung Electronics Co. LTD., et. al. This means that the Court upheld the jury’s verdict from a trial in November 2024, confirming that Samsung willfully infringed on Netlist’s patented technologies. As a result, Samsung has been ordered to pay $118 million in damages to Netlist.

C.K. Hong, the CEO of Netlist, expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating, “The Final Judgment validates the jury’s decision, the damages awarded, and confirms that Samsung infringed on Netlist’s patents willfully.” This judgment marks an important milestone for Netlist in protecting its intellectual property rights.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that Netlist has come out victorious against Samsung. In April 2023, Netlist was awarded $303 million in damages for another case of patent infringement by Samsung. With the additional damages awarded in this recent case, Netlist has now received a total sum of $421 million from Samsung.
