Cyberpunk 2077 has soared past 30 million units sold since its launch in December 2020, marking a remarkable milestone for the popular RPG. While the game’s early days were plagued by performance issues and missing features, CD Projekt RED has diligently provided numerous updates and content drops to enhance the player experience.

In their recent earnings report, CD Projekt RED shared their excitement about the thriving Cyberpunk community. Co-CEO Michał Nowakowski expressed his joy at seeing fans rally around the Cyberpunk games, highlighting the enduring appeal of the title.

Despite its rocky start just a few years ago, Cyberpunk 2077 managed to turn the tide with a series of patches and content additions. The Phantom Liberty expansion, released last year, offered fresh story content and features, drawing in millions of players. With over 8 million copies sold, Phantom Liberty has been a resounding success, revitalizing interest in the game.

Furthermore, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the anime adaptation of the game on Netflix, played a significant role in reigniting enthusiasm among fans. As CD Projekt RED moves forward, they’ve confirmed that their next Witcher game is now in full-scale production, with early development underway for a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.

The future looks bright for the Cyberpunk universe, with fans eagerly anticipating the next installment and the evolution of this dynamic gaming world.
