Disney Will Pay $43M To Settle Pay Equity Class-Action Lawsuit – Deadline

Disney has finally settled the long-standing pay equity class-action suit that has been hanging over the company for the past five years. The company will be paying out $43.25 million to up to 14,000 eligible class members of female Disney employees from 2015 to today. This settlement amount is far less than the estimated $300 million the case could have reached if it had been certified as a class action last December.
