Golden Age of Investing: Stock Market Outlook for Massive Rally
The stock market could be in for a big upswing, according to veteran strategist Mary Ann Bartels. She believes we might be heading into a “Golden Age of Investing,” which could mean impressive growth for the S&P 500 over the next decade.
Bartels points to a few key factors that could be driving this growth. She mentions productivity gains from AI, lower taxes, fiscal stimulus, and a strong U.S. economy as some of the main drivers. These factors, combined with ongoing support from the Biden Administration’s legislation, could lead to companies seeing strong earnings growth.
Drawing parallels between the technological advancements of today and those of past decades, Bartels suggests that we could be on track for a market boom similar to what was experienced in the 1990s and 1920s. The Federal Reserve’s decision to cut interest rates further supports this idea.
Looking ahead, Bartels estimates that the S&P 500 could hit between 8,000 and 10,000 by 2030, with a potential peak as high as 13,000. This projection implies a significant upside of 118% from current levels.
“If our predictions hold true, we could be looking at a Golden Age of investing once again, reminiscent of past decades,” Bartels concludes. So, it might be a good time for investors to keep an eye on the market in the coming years.
